Cookie Policy

Last updated: 30 May 2026 · Version: 1.0-draft

Surifact is cookie-light by design. We use only what is strictly necessary to log you in and keep the service working — no advertising, no analytics that identify you, no tracking across other sites.

1. Our approach to cookies

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We also use your browser's local storage in a similar way. We rely on these only to operate core features such as keeping you signed in.

2. What we use

Name / typePurposeDuration
Authentication / sessionKeeps you signed in and secures your sessionSession and short-lived refresh (up to ~7 days)
Locale preferenceRemembers your language choice (English or French)Persistent until cleared
Local storage (app state)Stores minimal interface state so the app works smoothlyUntil cleared

3. What we do not use

  • No advertising or marketing cookies.
  • No third-party analytics or tracking pixels that identify you.
  • No cross-site tracking and no browser fingerprinting.
  • No data brokers or ad networks.

4. Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Note that blocking the strictly-necessary authentication cookie will prevent you from logging in and using your account.

5. Why there is no cookie banner

Under the ePrivacy rules and the GDPR, consent is required only for non-essential cookies. Because we use only strictly-necessary cookies, no consent banner is needed — so we do not interrupt you with one.
